Sally Beth Steele

Sally Beth Steele was born on June 23rd, 1963 in Idabel, Oklahoma to Harrison and Martha Steele. Sally passed from this life in the morning/evening hours of March 7 th, 2021, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 57. Sally was preceded in death by her father Harrison Steele, younger brother Chris Steele, mother Martha Steele, and older sister Beverly O’Neal. Sally is survived by her husband Phillip Brand, of the home, daughter Mariah Driscoll, son-in-law Jacob Driscoll, and grandson Ezra Driscoll, all of Oklahoma City. She is also survived by her brother Harry Steele and his wife Judy of Elk City, Oklahoma, her brother David Steele and his wife Carol, and her sister Kay Davenport and her husband Kent, all of Wynnewood, Oklahoma along with numerous nieces and a nephew. Sally graduated from Wynnewood High School in 1981. She attended East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma, graduating with a degree in elementary education. It was here that Sally found her true calling. Many parents and students themselves, praised Sally for her intuitive teaching talents and her ability to successfully teach the most difficult children with various learning disabilities. She tirelessly advocated for her students. Sally succeeded where other teachers could not. Sally was a Christian. She loved the Lord and leaned heavily on his support during the many trials she endured throughout her life. Sally loved her three dogs: Pugsley, Kiki and Tawny…..and they loved their mommy. It was not uncommon to see all three dogs on her lap. Sally’s other interests included crafting, gardening, traveling, snorkeling with dolphins and writing poetry. She is remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend to those who knew her. She is gone too soon and we will all miss her dearly. The family would like to thank the City of Oklahoma City emergency responders for their compassionate care. Services will be held at the Wynnewood First Baptist Church on Monday March 15, 2021 at 11:00AM officiated by Rev. Jarrod Kendall with burial following at Oaklawn Cemetery in Wynnewood.
