Glenda Sue Hazlitt

It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Glenda “Sue” Shreffler, Hazlitt, has entered her eternal resting place with our Lord and Savior. She passed on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, in Stratford, Oklahoma. She was born on June 26, 1944, to Ernest Edwin Shreffler Jr. and Nannie Lois Martin Shreffler in San Jose, California. She devoted her life to family, faith, and kindness. Sue graduated from Vanoss High School and spent many years giving back to her school and community at the school cafeteria. When Sue was not at work, she would find herself deep in her garden planting and taking care of her flowers and plants. She would be preparing her famous salsa and canning vegetables. She loved the outdoors, chasing the golden hours, and watching the sunsets. Her love for animals and nature was evident and brought her so much joy. She was a strong woman of faith and an avid prayer warrior. Sue was a loving mother, gran, meme, great grandmother, sister and aunt. She is survived by her children, son Edward Lee Blankenship and his wife Rita Mae Blankenship, daughter Daneena Sue Hazlitt Wedlow, her husband Maceo Wedlow and son, Nathan Charles Hazlitt, Her grandchildren, Amber and Brandon Blankenship, Allysa and her husband Tim Edwards, Dalton Stick-Hazlitt, Aimee “Frazier” Armontrout, Tommie Frazier, Danielle Stevens and five great-grandchildren. Her sisters are Rozanna Lois Grove and Anna Lavonia Mekki. Numerous nieces and nephews, beloved family and friends She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edward Lee Henry Blankenship, and her parents, Lois and Ernest Shreffler Jr. Her siblings, Ernest Edwin Shreffler III, Virginia Ann Shreffler Byrd. Brother in-law Dwight Grove. Her niece, Melinda Grove Booth and loving friend Norrene Stevens. A celebration of Sue Hazlitt’s life will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 15, 2026, at Restoration Church in Ada, Oklahoma. The family would like to thank you for your support in this difficult time. We hope to see you there. Though deeply missed, Sue’s love remains with her family and friends in every story, lesson, and quiet act of kindness.
