Wesley Whitfield Faulk

January 17, 1942 - January 8, 2022

Wesley Whitfield Faulk, born on January 17, 1942 in Wapanucka, Oklahoma to E.D. Faulk and Netta Louise (Angel) Faulk. He passed away on January 8, 2022 in Durant, Oklahoma at the age of 79 years, 11 months and 8 days. He graduated from Wapanucka High School in 1961. He and Loretta Carpenter were married on September 24, 1966 in Oklahoma City. Whitfield worked in the pipeline industry for over fifty years and had the chance to see and visit 48 of the states. He made countless friends over the years and considered many of them to be like family. Whitfield loved his family dearly, especially his grandchildren who he often spoiled. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening and always shared his harvest with family and friends. Whitfield was always looking for something to be worked on and always stopped to help others along the way. He enjoyed drinking coffee around town every morning with friends and watching OU Sooners Football games. Whitfield is survived by his wife, Loretta Faulk; two sons, Wayne Wallace, Alan Faulk and wife Jennifer; three sisters, Sandra Griffin, Dianne Fincher and Renee’ Lyons; four grandchildren, Bailey Faulk, Logan Haney, Sara Williams and Kathryn Faulk. Whit was preceded in death by his parents, E.D. and Louise Faulk; brother, Benford Faulk. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 PM on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at the First Baptist Church in Wapanucka. Interment to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. Family hour will be Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at DeArman-Clark Funeral Home. Those serving as pallbearers will be Corbin George, Briggs George, Cord George, Dirk Griffith, Mike Wernli, and Chad Hilburn. Honorary pallbearers are Bailey Faulk, Tuck Sullivan, Jimmy Floyd and John Merrick.
