Valeta Rose Sallee

Valeta Sallee, 84 of Tishomingo, OK passed away on May 13, 2022. She was born Valeta Rose Tribble to parents Huey and Troy in Tishomingo. She grew up on the family farm in the Bold Springs Community where she and her siblings worked on the farm and attended school in Milburn. Valeta had an eye for fashion and spent many happy years in the retail clothing business. Many of those years were at the Clothes Box in Tishomingo. She was a wonderful cook and homemaker and her home was always the gathering place. She liked nothing better than to be at home surrounded by friends and family. She loved animals and had a knack for collecting them. She viewed all animals as strays, even when they weren't. Of all the homes where a stray cat could show up, they somehow knew that Valeta's was the place to be. Valeta was preceded in death by her son, Mike Germany and wife Mechele; mother,Troy Rhea and stepfather Vilna; fathe,r Huey Tribble and stepmother Edna; sister, Tomi Wellmaker and husband Bob; stepsister, Donna Simmons and husband Raymond, and brother in law Garland Vowell. She is survived by her son, Greg Germany and wife Amy; stepchildren, Rick Sallee and wife Cassie, Andy Sallee, Greg Sallee and Amy "Sallee" Mayes; sister, Gwen Vowell; stepbrother, CW Rhea; 10 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, as well as many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins. Her longtime- lifetime friends Martha "McGill" Kirk, Maxine "Converse" Neely, and Randy Goodman, she cherished as family. Funeral services will be held at 1:30, Friday, May 20, 2022 at the Fillmore Nazarene Church in Fillmore, Oklahoma. Interment to follow at Bold Springs Cemetery.
