Sheila Rae Nabors

Sheila Rae Nabors, a lifetime resident of Wynnewood, OK, was born on April 4, 1955 in Pauls Valley, OK to Maxene Pearl and Leroy Dotson. She passed away on Saturday November 25, 2023 in Plano, Texas at the age of 68. Sheila was raised her whole life in Wynnewood, Oklahoma and attended Wynnewood Public Schools. After graduation Sheila began working in Pauls Valley at Kellwood where she met her husband Tommy William Nabors and they got married June 12th, 1975. After being married they moved to Healdton, Oklahoma for a short time and then built a home in Pauls Valley, Ok where they resided and started growing their family. In 1987 she convinced Tommy to move her back to Wynnewood, Ok because she had told him “If you move me back to Wynnewood I would be the happiest woman in the world.” After returning to Wynnewood she began working clerical and receptionist jobs around the area including 1st National Bank of Wynnewood, Burford Manor in Maysville, Wynnewood Public Schools, and Pauls Valley General Hospital. Sheila was a member of the Wynnewood Church of Christ all of her life and enjoyed being a part of the congregation. She was a strong Christian woman and spread the word of Christ everyday. Sheila took great pride in her sewing and quilt making for numerous friends and family. She also enjoyed traveling with Tommy, reading books, cooking and baking, camping at the lake, and visiting her Aunt Wanda with her sisters. Her greatest joy was spending time with her kids and being Nana to her 7 grandchildren. She enjoyed chasing her grandkids around to various activities and events and having family gatherings. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Leroy and Maxene Dotson, niece Angi Ryan, Brother in law Rick Ryan, Mother in law Betty Nabors and Father in law Tom W. Nabors, Sister in law Sharon Harris and her husband Joe, nephew Brian Low, Brother in law Doyle Cooper. Survivors include: Her husband - Tommy William Nabors- Wynnewood, Ok; 2 sons and daughters in law: Clint and Regan Nabors- Wichita Falls, TX, Tommylee and Brandy Nabors- Wynnewood, OK Step son and daughter in law - Brent and Donna Nabors - Purcell, OK Siblings: Brother - Gene Dotson - Madill, OK; Sister and brother in law -Bob and Janice Anderson - Wynnewood, OK Sister -Sue Ryan - Wynnewood, OK Grandkids: Brenna Collins and husband Colton, Hank Nabors, Brady Nabors, Colt Nabors, Ryann Nabors, Baker Nabors, and Dylan Nabors. And a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Tuesday November 28, 2023 from 4 to 7 PM at DeArman Funeral Home in Wynnewood, OK. Services will be held on Wednesday November 29, 2023 at 1:00 PM at the Church of Christ in Wynnewood, OK with Todd McRay officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery in Wynnewood, Ok. .
