He spent most of his life as a home builder in Edmond and other surrounding communities. After retirement he traveled with his wife Sandy and sold clips for Disco Automotive accumulating hundreds of clients in many states. He discovered he loved sales and loved the many small business owners he met throughout the years. Robert offered a level of optimism that was honest, heart-felt, and it spilled over into all that he did. If you knew Robert you knew he had an infectious smile to all he met.....and you might have heard him whistle from time to time. Robert's Christian faith was an essential part of his life. He spent a great part of his time studying his Bible. Robert loved the Lord. Throughout the early years he and Sandy started many bus ministries. They both had a passion to win souls to Christ. They wanted to make a difference in the lives of the children they picked up because they loved them. One of Robert's great passions in life was mission work and building churches. He knew that building these churches was vital to fulfilling the great commission of our Lord Jesus Christ. Robert and Sandy served alongside many members of the church and community going on mission trips both domestically and abroad....building churches to bring the gospel to anyone that would listen. When thinking about the husband, the father, and the Papa...this quote is what he lived by: "When I stand before God at the end of my life...I would hope that I would not have a single talent left...and could say I used every thing God gave me to help others" That sums up our Papa...a man that continued to serve the Lord until he took his last breath. Robert was loved deeply by his family. Throughout his illness his whole family was always by his side offering lots of hugs, kisses, and of course laughter. Robert is survived by his beloved wife Sandy...daughter Debbie Dodson, sons Jay Foster, Ronnie Foster, Tom Woods, and Don Walker. Grandchildren, Glenna Howe and husband Johnny, Tommy Dodson, Maddison Gagliardi and husband Nick, Jaden and Ava Foster. Great grandchildren; Savannah and Sadie Howe and Gunner and Gage Gagliardi.
