    Raynell Ann Serna

    October 7, 1962 - February 7, 2022

    Raynell Ann Serna “Pinky”, 59, passed away on Monday, February 7, 2022 in Ada, Oklahoma. Pinky was born on October 7, 1962 in Lawton, Oklahoma Mary Samis (Wilson) and Henry Frank Samis. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Henry Samis; Kathleen Samis, Bobbie Samis, Linda (Samis) DeLeon, Dorothy (Samis) Morris, Betty (Samis) Southerland; three brothers, Edward, Roy and Buddy Samis; niece, Rebecca (Morris) Talley; nephew, Monte Morris Jr. After graduating from high school, Pinky moved to Durant, Oklahoma where she worked part time at the Sewing Factory while attending Murray State College. She then moved to Phoenix, Arizona where she worked for several years at Revlon making cosmetics. Upon returning to Oklahoma, she met Ronnie Hicks and they made a life together in Ada, Oklahoma. Pinky enjoyed beading and making native jewelry. She liked camping at the lake, spending time with her family, and taking care of and loving her grandchildren. She was a warm, soft loving person who was generous with her time. It is with sadness from this unexpected loss that Pinky will be deeply missed by many. Pinky is survived by Ronnie Hicks of the home; children, Micah Hicks Jimboy of Ada, James and Jason Serna of Ada; Shaylee Hicks and Wes, Charles Hicks and wife Brittany, Thunder Hicks; sisters, Pauletta Samis of McAlester and Rose Samis of Tishomingo; brother, Dewey Samis of Tishomingo; grandchildren, Selene Diara, Mythyus, Tauian, Gracen Webb, Cheyenne Gray, Johnathan Gray, Bryson Gray, Mataya Hicks, Themistocles Hicks and Gabriella Hicks; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends. She will be truly missed by all. Funeral Services to honor and celebrate the life of Raynell Serna will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, February 14, 2022 at DeArman-Clark Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to follow at Sandy Creek Cemetery in Fillmore. Family hour will be held from 3:00 - 5:00 PM on Sunday, February 13.
