Norma Joan Rumbaugh

Memorial Services for Norma Rumbaugh will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, July 11, 2019 at Calvary Baptist Church. Norma Joan Rumbaugh, age 76, passed away peacefully at her home in Tishomingo on July 2, 2019 with her loving family by her side. Norma was born on September 15, 1942 in Milburn, OK to parents Leonard and Anna (Smith) Scarbrough. She grew up in Sundown, TX. For a good portion of her early adult life she lived in Odessa, TX. Once her husband retired they moved to Tishomingo and from then on Tishomingo is what they called home for over twenty-five years. Norma worked as a certified cook for the Chickasaw Head Start when she moved to Tishomingo. When she wasn’t cooking at work, she enjoyed cooking for her family. People would tell you that she could cook for an army and everyone was always welcome. She adored spending time with her kids and grandkids. If she wasn’t cooking, cleaning, or taking care of others you could find her working on a craft project. You name it, she could make it. Norma was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Tishomingo and loved her church family dearly. Norma is preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Anna Scarbrough; husband, Bobby Rumbaugh; daughter, Katherine Baum; brothers, Clayton Scarbrough, Ray Scarbrough, Clinton Scarbrough, and Jimmy Scarbrough; sisters, Ella Mae Scarbrough, Yvonne Rushing, Novella Creed, and Brenda Easterwood. Norma is survived by daughters, Vicki and Jack Smith of Moran, TX; Betty and Wesley Willhite of Tishomingo, OK; sons, Rick and Melinda Fullen of Sundown,TX, Scott Rumbaugh of Dallas, TX, Harold Rumbaugh of Andrews, TX; sister, Linda Pike of Irving, TX; brother-in-law, Earl Creed; sister-in-laws, Cathy Scarbrough, Sheila, Scarbrough, and Glenda Scarbrough; fifteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and friends who will miss her dearly.
