Neal Flowers

Neal Flowers was born December 3rd, 1972. He was the 7th child of Henry & Miami Flowers. Neal attended Wynnewood public schools where he excelled in every sport. At a young age he gave his life at Mt. Olive Church, where he attended for many years. He was a leader who dominated on the track, breaking state records in long jump, 400m, 800m relay, and the 4x4. Neal was a star on the basketball court where he couldn't be stopped. he was crowned MVP on his All American State basketball team for demonstrating confidence in his competitive nature, self discipline and passion on the court while motivating his team to stay committed to the game. Neal was also a phenomenal football player. He mastered every position he played, which included wide receiver, running back and his favorite, safety. Neal kept his team disciplined and was determined to ensure they dominated on the field. Neal lead his team successfully to win two all state championships. His hard work and dedication payed off with him graduating with honors from Wynnewood high school in 1991. After graduating high school Neal achieved a scholarship in football to play for North Eastern Oklahoma in Miami, Oklahoma. Neal graduated NEO with an associates in business and a Juco Championship to add to his accomplishments. Neal went to continue his college career at the University of Las Vegas where he played free safety. Neal proceeded to relocate closer to home, attending Oklahoma Community College where he received his bachelors degree in business. He played semi-pro football for the Red Dogs in Oklahoma City, leading them to a championship win in their league. Neal was employed by All American Transmissions before resigning recently to care for his mother full time. Neal was a proud father of four children. His oldest two children he shared with his first love Lorie Cook, Nori Flowers and Neal (Lake) Flowers, and his two youngest children Spencer and Nalayla Flowers. Neal enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. His favorite hobbies were playing dominoes, card games, dancing, watching football, going to the casino, playing bingo and most importantly joking and making everyone smile. Neal was preceded in death by Henry flowers, Martha Flowers, David C. Raines, Maverick High and Lyn Smith. Visitation for Neal will be from 4-7 PM January 22nd at the DeArman Funeral Home of Wynnewood, with services being held at the First Baptist Church of Wynnewood on January 27th at 10:30 AM.
