Myrtle Ruth O'Bryant

January 18, 1945 - March 4, 2022

Myrtle Ruth Warren O’Bryant found her place in Heaven at 2:34am, March 4, 2022, surrounded by her family at the age of 77 years. Mert was born January 18, 1945, in Chickasha, OK to Joseph and Ruth Warren. She was one of five daughters: Lawanna Warren, Elizabeth Warren, Linda Hopkins, and Rhonda Chester. Mert attended Mustang High School where she met and married Kennie Justice in 1964. Out of this marriage four daughters were born, Dena Justice of Purcell, OK, Dana Justice of Noble, OK, Dawn Green and husband Randy of Purcell, OK, and Misti Justice of Noble, OK. On March 30, 1991,Mert married Gene O’Bryant, at her mother’s home in Mustang, OK. From this marriage she gained sons Randy O’Bryant and Gene Williams, son-in-law Marvin Gober, daughters Gina O’Bryant, and Lisa O’Bryant. She was preceded in death by her parents Joe and Ruth Warren, sisters Lawanna Warren and Elizabeth Warren, husband Gene O’Bryant, niece Pamela Triffet and grandson Dustin Gober. Mert was a 4-foot 11-inch ball of fire with a fisty personality. She loved fishing, dancing, and playing golf, where many of her friends knew her as Charlie. Mert was loved by many nieces, nephews, and friends. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her 18 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren, whom all loved and adored their Granny. Visitation will be Tuesday March 8 from 5-7 p.m. Services will be Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at DeArman Chapel and Interment will be held at McGee Cemetery.
