Mary Pearl Olinger

Mary Olinger of Guthrie, Oklahoma was born June 27, 1940 in Flora Illinois to Ralph Waldo Emerson & Maxine (DeWeese Emerson. She passed away in Guthrie, at the age of 80 years. She grew up in Arkansas and graduated from Beebee high school in Beebee, Arkansas. She went on to college where she received her Bachelor's degree in Nursing. She was also an Ordained Pentecostal Holiness Pastor. She married Paul Olinger on May 20, 1965 in Stratford, Oklahoma. Where they lived for the next 30 years and raised their family. After leaving Stratford they moved to Ponca City where Mary pastored a church, she pastored many churches in Oklahoma. Her children call her awesome, loved people and loved life. Tina Stafford & husband Terry of Wellston, Oklahoma. Kenella Stapleton & husband Marvin of Midwest City, Oklahoma. Son: Dean Olinger and wife Starr of Guthrie, Oklahoma. 22 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; sister; Pauline Cobb of Norman, Oklahoma: brother Roger Gorman & wife Mary Ruth of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Pallbearers; Michael Austin, Jakob Felan, Tyler Burton, B.J. Olinger, Marvin Stapleton, Terry Stafford. Honorary Pallbearers: Shawn Collins, Dennis Lancaster and Ethan Stafford. Visitation: Thursday December 3, 2020 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm in DeArman/Pickard Funeral Home Stratford. Services: 2:00 pm Friday December 4, 2020 at DeArman/Pickard Chapel. Officiating: Rev. Tricia Smith and Rev. Charles Tennison, Burial will be in McGee cemetery.
