Kenneth Larry Locke

Kenneth Larry Locke, also known as “Mudman” or “Duckman” passed from this life on Monday, May 9, 2022 in Ardmore, Oklahoma. Kenneth was born on November 4, 1950 in Tishomingo, Oklahoma to Rogean Stallings Locke and Kenne Locke. He married Jo Anna Pelton on March 24, 1973; she passed away on December 7, 2010. He remarried Lori Beth Andrew Walker on May 5, 2012. Kenneth was raised with his siblings on the Tishomingo National Wildlife Refuge. He loved anything outdoors, during his life, he was an avid hunter, fisherman, vegetable gardener and golfer and loved shooting and reloading. He also loved anything mechanical! As a young man, he loved cars and competed in drag racing then went on to become a private pilot. Kenneth attended Tishomingo Public Schools. He graduated from Murray State College and went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree of Science from Southeastern State University in 1974. Kenneth worked at Halliburton for almost 40 years and had a passion for the oilfield and was known worldwide for it. He loved the Texas Rangers and Oklahoma State University. He was very active in his community through Reaching Out, Tishomingo Masonic Lodge #91, Eastern Star #105 and was a school board member for Tishomingo Public Schools for the past 26 years. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the Scottish Rite. Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents, Kenne and Rogean Locke; brothers, Donnie and Charlie Locke. Those he leaves to cherish his memories are his wife, Lori Locke; daughters, Carla Tollett, husband: Thomas “Edward” Tollett and their son Thomas “Alexander” Tollett of Bethel, Oklahoma; Stephanie Young: husband Jimmy Young, and their sons Baily Young and Shelby Young of Grand Lake, Oklahoma; step son, Austin Walker and wife Jillian of Watauga, Texas; brother, Leldon Locke and wife Mary of Sherman, Texas; sister, Marcella Locke of Tishomingo, Oklahoma. Funeral services to honor and celebrate the life of Kenneth Locke will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, May 13, 2022 at the Church of the Nazarene in Tishomingo. Interment to follow at the Tishomingo Cemetery. Family hour will be on Thursday, May 12 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM.
