Funeral Services to honor and celebrate the life of Jerry Lee Hamilton, known as "Herb" to most will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, July 29, 2019 at the First Baptist Church in Mill Creek. Interment to follow at Mill Creek Cemetery. Herb was the best husband, father, son and friend that a person could ask for. He touched every person’s life that he came into contact with. He was born to Joseph and Geneva Euline Hamilton in Talihina, OK on October 12, 1954. Herb passed from this life on July 23, 2019 at 8:54 AM at his home in Mill Creek, OK. Herb lived in Mill Creek the entirety of his life. Attending Mill Creek Public Schools until graduation in 1972. Herb was a proud Mill Creek Bullfrog, participating in the basketball and baseball teams. After graduation, Herb attended Murray State College and also completely a paint and body school in Oklahoma City. He was a long-time employee to the US Silica Corporation. Herb never met a stranger and was always there to lend a helping hand if he thought someone needed one. Herb began his life in marriage to Tammy Lynne Hamilton in December of 1990. He lived to support and make his family happy. Herb and Tammy are known and remember by many people. One thing that is certain is Herb truly loved Tammy and always will love her. We give special thanks to Gena Mae Farmer in her special introduction in Herb and Tammy. Herb will always be in our hearts and all those that he touched as well. Herb is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Geneva Hamilton; brother, Robert Hamilton; nephew, Steven “Stevie Boy” Hamilton; lifelong friend, Larry “Farkle” Farmer. This reunification was a long time due. Those he leaves to cherish his memories are his wife, Tammy Lynne Hamilton; daughter, Heather Nicole Elliott and husband Jesse Lee; two sisters, Susan Hamilton and Linda Robins; brother, Leland “Poss” Hamilton; four amazing grandchildren, Jeremyah Caleb Lee Hamilton, Diesel Jesse Lee Elliott, Loran Axle Leon Elliott and Rye Rebar Jesse Lee Elliott. Accompanied with two amazing foster parents Steven and Laura Shotzman, Herb will forever be missed.
