James (Jim) Joseph Korzan

May 2, 1950 - December 27, 2020

Jim Korzan of Stratford, Oklahoma was born May 2, 1950 in Mitchell, South Dakota to Floyd James Korzan and Rita Marie (Labrecque) Korzan. He joined the United States Air Force after college and served our country. Stationed in Vietnam for a year and half as a Vietnamese translator. After being wounded in action he came back to the States. He was a member of the Catholic faith. He married Debbie Dempsey on July 4, 2012 in Stratford. Jim was a member of the American Legion Post 191 where he was very active. He loved to serve in his community by helping where ever he could. Preceded by: his parents, and one sister Monica Korzan. Survived by: his wife Debbie of the home in Stratford Daughters: Amanda Gustovic, Kellie Edwards & husband Jason all of Stratford, Shelia Thompson of Mustang, Oklahoma. Sons: Jason Korzan & wife Jaime of Stratford, Mike Milliken & wife Julie of Wonder Lake, Illinois, and Branum Dempsey & wife Elizabeth of Stratford. brothers & sisters: Mike Korzan & wife Carol of Minneapolis, Minnesota, John Korzan & wife Karren of Hartford, South Dakota, Pat Woodraska & husband Wayne of Kimball, South Dakota, Margaret Korzan of Boston, Massachusetts, Matt Korzan & wife Bam of Mitchell, South Dakota, Charlie Korzan & wife Cheryl of Kimball, South Dakota, Joe Korzan & wife Lisa of Watertown, South Dakota. 23 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren, Visitation: Wednesday December 30, 2020 at DeArman/Pickard Funeral Home from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Services: 2:00 pm Thursday December 31, 2020 in the Stratford High School Auditorium. Officiating: Bill Jones. Burial will be in Corley Cemetery south of Stratford on highway 177.
