Helen Sue Gibson

Helen Sue Gibson, a resident of Stratford was born September 8, 1946 in Talpac, Arizona to Ernest and Pauline (Kizer) Adkins. She passed away Tuesday September 17, 2019 at the age of 73 years and 9 days. Helen grew up in Arizona where she graduated from high school. Helen and Bobby Joe Gibson were married on October 11, 1967 in California. They lived in various places before moving to Oklahoma in 1993. Helen had worked for the state school in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma and for the Chickasaw Casinos in Sulphur and Davis before her retirement. She was preceded in death by her parents; son: Jason Dewayne Gibson; 2 sisters: Christine Jones; Nanie Borden; 3 brothers Haskel Tucker; Ernest Adkins, Jr. and Hugh Adkins. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Bobby Joe Gibson of Stratford, OK; children and spouses, Laura Sue and Bill Rogers of Stratford, OK and Jesse Carol and Jennifer Henson of Stratford, OK; 4 grandchildren, Jessica Henson, Christopher Rogers, Dana Rogers, and Patrick Henson; 2 great-granchildren, Madison Hunter and Cora Hunter; siblings, Harold Adkins, Mary Lettreel, Martha Norris, Linda Ramey, and Vona Davis. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Monday September 23, 2019 at Oaklawn Cemetery in Sulphur with Rev. Bill Leveridge officiating.
