Dennis Ray Jones

August 16, 1951 - January 4, 2021

Dennis Ray Jones was born August 16th, 1951 in Ardmore, OK. He passed away January 4th, 2021 in Tulsa, OK at the age of 68 due to complications with Covid-19 and kidney failure. Dennis is survived by his wife Deborah Jones, children John and Rebecca Jones, grandchildren Robert Jones and Cheyann and Joshua Cardwell, mother Peggy Sanderson, and siblings Linda Wojack and Darrell Jones. He was honorably discharged from the Army after serving in the Vietnam War. He did not speak of it often but we know he was proud to have served his country. He lived a full life and did everything he could to provide for his family. He worked in everything from truck driving, being an electrician, auto body work, and many other jobs. He loved his grandchildren and took them on as his own by raising them. He was filled with laughter and joy and he was always a wealth of knowledge and was a good time. Even though it pained him at times, he loved to watch his Oklahoma Sooners and Dallas Cowboys let him down time and again. But he did get to watch his Sooners pull it out one more time by them winning the Cotton Bowl. He will always have a place in the hearts of his family and friends. He will be dearly missed, but he doesn’t have to deal with pain and suffering any longer and we rejoice in that.
