Bobby Gene Howell Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Bobby Gene Howell, 74, of Tishomingo, passed away on July 4, 2022 in Tishomingo, Oklahoma. Bobby was born on September 28, 1947 in Ada, Oklahoma to Rawleigh and Lola (Tipps) Howell. Growing up he attended school in Midwest City and after graduation went on to obtain a master’s degree from the Ou School of Pharmacy. He spent the rest of his career as a pharmacist all over the United States. OU athletics was a huge part of Bobby’s life; having season tickets and if he couldn’t go, he would be sure to watch it somewhere. A very reclusive man who enjoyed nature walks, Carlo Rossi red wine and sports cars. Bobby loved foreign cars; the last American made cars he owned was a 56 Crown Victoria and a blue Pontiac. He was a man who beat to his own drum and had an electric style and charisma about him; a true character that will never be forgotten and greatly missed. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Rawleigh an Lola Howell; brother, Johnny Ray Howell; brother in laws, Gene Grissom and Larry Winkleman; nephew, Staff Sergeant Joseph Harms. Those he leaves to cherish his memories are his brother, Jack David Howell; sisters, Cathy Winkleman and Joyce Grissom; nieces and nephews, Karen Winkleman, Melissa Winkleman – Owens, Barbara Hutcheson – Adams, Timmy Harms, Ryan Harms, Michael Howell, Kimberly Howell, Major Melody Howell, Tiffany Howell – Sheffield; as well as multiple great nieces and nephews and friends. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, July 9, 2022 at the Tishomingo Cemetery. Family hour will be Friday, July 8, 2022 from 4:00 – 6:00 PM. The family invites all who want to join at Ole Red for lunch following the service.
