Beverly Ann Cotner

February 25, 1938 - January 19, 2022

Beverly Ann Cotner, 83, passed away on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas. Beverly was born on February 25, 1938 in Niagara Falls, New York to Stuart B. and Lida (Gordon) Hollingshead. Beverly spent her years growing up in Niagara Falls where she met the love of her life, Gordon A. Cotner and married at the age of 18 on June 27, 1956 in Niagara Falls. He was in the United States Army so they traveled to many places, living in Taiwan and Germany. She was a devoted wife of 43 years, 9 months and 10 days as she so proudly stated following her husband's death. Beverly spent her life doing for others and was a homemaker for her family. Beverly and her youngest living sister, Gail never went a day without talking on the phone to each other. She loved the lord and faithfully attended church up until her health decline. She was a member of Bullard Chapel Baptist Church. She was an outgoing and independent woman with a strong Christian faith. Beverly loved visiting and having coffee with friends and was the best at giving advice. Beverly loved planting flowers in her yard, feeding the birds, especially hummingbirds. She will be missed by many but never forgotten. Fly like a hummingbird. Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, Stuart and Lida Hollingshead; husband, Gordon A. Cotner; sister, Sharon Deane; dear friend, Chris Wheeler. Those she leaves to cherish her memories are her children, Patricia Cotner of Edmond, Stuart Cotner and wife Sherry of Ashville, NC, Steven Cotner and wife Becky of Seminole; siblings, Stuart Hollingshead and wife Cindy of Tuscan, AZ, Gail Licht and husband Michael of Niagara Fall, NY; grandchildren, William Cotner, Kaylne Cotner, Laura Bell, Briana Bell Cunningham, Megan Cotner, and Brandon Langston; great grandchild, Ethan Bell Tanksley and little cat, Sadie; and many other family and friends. A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 28, 2022 at DeArman-Clark Funeral Home in Tishomingo, Oklahoma.
