Funeral Services for Mr. Thomas L. Blanford, 88, of Tishomingo, Oklahoma will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at 10:00 a. m. in the Herb Clark Memorial Chapel with Dr. Rex Clayton officiating. Interment will follow in the Condon Grove Cemetery in Milburn, Oklahoma. Mr. Blanford passed away on October 4, 2017 at his home. Tom was born on June 27, 1929 in Louisville, Kentucky to Thomas S. Blanford and Dorothy Ann (Gassier) Blanford Most of his formal education was in Cincinnati, Ohio. He enlisted in the United States Army and served during the Korean Conflict, being Honorably Discharged in 1951. Tom married JoAnn Dosh on June 19, 1982 in Ravia, Oklahoma. They lived in Ardmore, Oklahoma before moving to Tishomingo in 2001, and Mrs. Blanford preceded him in death on December 12, 2004. Tom was of the Baptist faith, having attended the First Baptist Church and most recently, the Calvary Baptist Church in Tishomingo. He was also preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Mardella Stewart; a brother, Jimmy Blanford; and four grandchildren, Mark, Veronica, John and Marci Stewart. Tom is survived by his daughter, Penny Kelley of Tishomingo; son, Michael Tusinger of Big Spring, Texas; and other relatives. Casket Bearers will be members of the Calvary Baptist Church.
