Ruby Shirley Fielden

Ruby Shirley (Fowler) Fielden, born on February 14, 1947, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2024, in Calera, Oklahoma. Ruby was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend who touched the lives of all who knew her with her warmth, kindness, and unwavering spirit. Ruby was born to Clarence and Anna Bell (Murphy) Fowler, who instilled in her the values of faith, resilience, and love. She married Larry Fielden on September 1, 1972, at the Assembly of God in Velma, Oklahoma. Though they later divorced, their union was blessed with a beautiful family. Ruby was deeply devoted to her faith and was an active member of the Assembly of God in Whitesboro, Texas, and Velma, Oklahoma. Ruby cherished her family above all else. She is survived by her daughters Anna Carden and husband Shawn Coker, and Kimberly Voyles and husband Michael Voyles. Her grandchildren and their spouses, James and Whitney Voyles, Blake and Kayli Rushing, Cody and Brittany Voyles, Eli and Aubrey Carden, Vera and Jose Ramirez Garza, and Carley Carden, were her pride and joy. Ruby was also blessed with great-grandchildren Izabelle Voyles, Mason Voyles, Nathan Rushing, Luke Rushing, Valley Voyles, and Porter Voyles, who brought immense happiness to her life. Ruby is also survived by her brother George Fowler, and her sisters and their spouses: Sis and Ed Davis, Ellen and Billy Matheny, and Pat Johnson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Anna Bell Fowler; her sister Essie Bell Fowler; her brother Albert Fowler; and her brother-in-law Danny Johnson. Ruby’s life was filled with passion and creativity. She loved writing songs and poetry, sewing, singing, laughing, and collecting antiques. Known for her delicious biscuits and chocolate gravy, she made every gathering special with her cooking. The highlights of her life were her faith in God, her family, and her cherished friends. Ruby taught those around her about Jesus, kindness, patience, humility, giving, and caring for others. Funeral services to honor and celebrate the life of Ruby Fielden will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at DeArman-Clark Funeral Home in Tishomingo with Pastor Marvin Lowry to officiate. Interment to follow at the Condon Grove Cemetery in Milburn.
