Funeral Services for Mr. Roy Germany, 78, of Coleman, Oklahoma will be held on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at 2:00 p. m. at the Folsom Free Will Baptist Church with Brother Randy Tadlock officiating, assisted by Brother Earl White. Masonic Rites will be provided by Wapanucka Masonic Lodge #200. Interment will follow at the Coleman Cemetery. Mr. Germany passed away on July 21, 2016 at the Medical City Hospital in Dallas, Texas. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6-8 pm at the Fillmore Church of the Nazarene. Memorials may be made in Roy's name to the Wapanucka Masonic Lodge #200 at PO Box 134, Coleman, OK 73432.Roy was born on February 12, 1938 in Bentley, Oklahoma to Elbert Germany and Bertha (White) Germany. He attended school at Bentley, Coleman and graduated from Central High School in Oklahoma City. Roy married the love of his life and best friend, Frances Raines on February 2, 1957 in Durant, Oklahoma. They spent 59 wonderful years together. He was a master welder, farmer, rancher, wonderful husband and the best dad and grandpa ever. He fought illness all of his life. He was a tough person and mentored many young men in our community. Roy was given a second chance at life on September 25, 1997, when he received the gift of life from a donor, who gave him a new heart. We are forever grateful to that family for giving us more precious time. He was a 32 degree Mason of the McAlester Scottish Rite, and had dual membership at Caddo Lodge #3 and Wapanucka Lodge #200, having been in Masonry for 42 years. He was also a member of the Tishomingo Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star #104. Roy was a member of the Fillmore Church of the Nazarene and was a great witness and had a great testimony to all who knew him. He also spent 43 years as a weather reporter for the National Weather Service.He was preceded in death by: his parents; two brothers, Bobby Gene Germany and Harry Lee Germany and a sister, Wanda Dean Germany.Roy is survived by his wife Frances, of the home; son, John and wife Sheila ; daughters, Connie and husband Kim and Christy and husband Robert, all of Coleman; grandsons, Nick Mason and John Wayne Germany of Coleman; granddaughters, Tisha Shearer and husband Jaco of Wall, SD, Kendra Germany, Brittany and Whitney McDonald, all of Coleman; great-grandchildren, Nolan Mason of Coleman, Londyn, Paris, and Waverly Shearer, all of Wall, SD; brother-in-law, Fred Raines and wife Noella and two sisters-in-law, Harmona Germany and Cleta Gudgel.Pallbearers for the service will be: David Wood, Richard Whitmire, James Whitmire, David Stanley, Ethen Hoedebeck, and Shannon Bland. Honorary Bearers will be: Frank Wallace and Jimmy Scribner.
