Ronald Ray Hart

Ronald Ray Hart was born on April 8, 1947 in Tishomingo, OK to Richard and Ruby (Violet) Hart and was welcomed into his heavenly home on October 17, 2022. Ronnie loved life and always had a smile on his face. He loved to help people, and was often the one to suggest family gatherings. On holidays, you could find him playing football with the nieces and nephews, competing with even the younger members of the group. Along with his love for sports, he truly enjoyed music and said he had a lifetime top ten list that included such songs as, “I’m a Believer,” “Sitting on the Dock of the Bay,” “Downtown,” and “Hang on Sloopy.” Growing up in the 1960’s was a happy time for him. In high school and college, Ron excelled in football, basketball, and track. He attended East Central University where he received a degree in Education, which led to a coaching and teaching job in Ryan, OK. Later, he received a master’s degree in Counseling and began his twenty-four-year career with the Department of Human Services, which was then followed by time with Counseling Incorporated. Those were the jobs he loved most because it gave him the opportunity to help people. He also sold insurance, and after retirement, always had a part-time job or two. Ronnie loved being a father and grandfather, and spoke often about being most happy when surrounded by his sons and their families. Along with spending time with his own family, he truly enjoyed being with the family of his girlfriend, Loretta. He happily attended as many ballgames as possible for both his grandchildren and hers. Most important to Ronnie was the desire to always be of help to others and make sure they felt cared for. He would like to be remembered as someone who loved the Lord and made a difference for others. Ron was preceded in death by his parents and one great-grandchild, Adelyn Hart. He is survived by his girlfriend of many years, Loretta Billie; his sons Darrin Hart, wife Lorna, and Dalyn Hart; six grandchildren, Richard Anthony Hart, Torie Hart Hampton, Ryan Hart, Dilyn Lee Hart, Emilyn Ruby Hart, Colyn Ray Hart, Murray Bohannan, and Bobby Bohannan; three great-grandchildren, Ashton Hart, Wyatt Hampton, and Quinlee Hampton; sisters, Jeanne Corbin, and husband Bill, Mary Wood and husband, Dwaine, Violet Hart, and husband, Jeff; along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was dearly loved by all. Funeral services to honor and celebrate the life of Ronald Hart will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at the First Baptist Church in Tishomingo. Interment to follow at the Tishomingo Cemetery. Family hour will be from 5:00 - 7:00 PM on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at DeArman-Clark Funeral Home.
