Peggy Riedel Sarrett

In Loving Memory of Peggy Riedel-Sarrett October 1, 1940 – May 10, 2025 Peggy Riedel-Sarrett, lovingly known to her family as "Nonnie," passed away peacefully on May 10, 2025, at the age of 84. Peggy was a woman of grace, grit, and unwavering honesty. She was never one to sugarcoat things—if she had something to say, you were going to hear it. But behind that strong spirit was a heart full of love, especially for her family. In her younger years, Peggy found joy on the golf course, often hitting the links with a swing as fierce as her determination. No matter the day, she made sure to have her makeup just right and her jewelry in place. She and her husband, Jerry Sarrett, shared not only a life together but a business—they proudly ran J & M Country Mart, a small grocery store in Texas, for several years before moving back to Oklahoma. Peggy was preceded in death by Jerry, her beloved husband, and her three sons: Lance, Michael, and Randy. She also joins her sisters Dee, Oweda, Kaye, and Reba, and her parents, Vera and Willie, all of whom she loved dearly and missed deeply. She is survived by her devoted daughter, Tarri Kolar, who carries on her strength and love. Nonnie also leaves behind a legacy in her grandchildren: Meagan, Justin, Chris, Josh, Teri, Paige, and Dylan, as well as her great-grandchildren: Sydni, Emma, Jacob, Brayden, Brenna, and Jaiden. She is also lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews, all of whom she adored and held close to her heart. Peggy’s love ran deep and true. She was the heart of many gatherings, the keeper of honest advice, and the one who always made sure you left her home feeling a little more loved—and maybe just a little more honest yourself. She will be missed beyond words but remembered with laughter, love, and countless beautiful memories. Pallbearers; Justin Pryor, Dylan Hart, Chris Hart, James Qualls, Cliff Henager, and Kevin Gallup. Visitation; Thursday May 15, 2025 in DeArman/Pickard Funeral Home, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Services; 10:00 AM Friday May 16, 2025 in the Church of Christ Stratford, Oklahoma. Officiating; Bill Jones. Interment will follow in McGee cemetery Stratford, Oklahoma.
