Patti Jean King

"Pat" was born in Seven Shooter, OK on March the 17th 1928 to Cora (Gilliam) and Paul DeArman. She went to her beloved Savior on November 13th 2017 at the age of 89 years 7 months and 27 days. She grew up on the farm around Paoli, OK going to high school there. Pat had 8 brother and sisters; James, Vernon, Garrett, Jerri, Mattie Lou, Leroy, Bill, Sue, and Mary. Pat was married to Woodrow Wilson King in 1945. Pat and Woodrow moved to Tahoka, Texas where a son Fred Wilson King was born on March 13th, 1950 and daughter Terri Susan King was born in 1952. Pat and Wilson moved to OKC, OK in 1952 where he worked as a warehouseman and Pat as a homemaker and anything else she could find to do. Later they had Robert Dale King in 1958. They lived in OKC all their married lives and Pat there up until 2007 when she had a stroke and lived with Fred and Christine until 2012 when she had to go to the Tuttle Care Center. Pat was a worker. She did whatever would come to her hand. She was a prolific cook and had something always going on the stove. She took in ironing, kept children, worked at T.G. & Y. for several years. Later in life she managed an industrial kitchen in S.E. Oklahoma city. Pat cooked many meals for churches. Namely Brookwood Baptist and South Lindsey Baptist Churches. Pat grew up in the Methodist Church and belonged to Selecman United Methodist Church on South Independence in OKC. She later joined the Alliance Church and her last membership was in the South Lindsey Baptist Church in S.E. OKC. Pat was a wonderful Christian. She exhibited the love of Christ everywhere she went. She was a great neighbor and had many close friends over the years. Wilson died in 1981. Pat took care of her daughter Susan for many years. She was a very unselfish person and shared what little she had with her kids and grandkids. Fred King had two children with wife Penny (Crosby): Timothy Andrew King and Alena Nicole King (Gallardo). Fred married Christine (Hopkins) in 2000 with her daughter Deanna and husband Chad Wurtz with grandson Austin. Robert Dale was married to Jackie and they had 5 chidlren: Lucas, Ben, Ricky, Michael, and Gena. Pat also had 8 great grandkids. Pat was preceded in death by her parents, husband Woodrow Wilson, a 3 day old son, her daughter Teddi Susan and her son Robert Dale and grandson Ben King. Also her brothers James, Vernon, Garrett, Leroy, and Bill; and infant sister Mattie Lou. She is survived by her son Fred King of Tuttle, OK; daughter in law Jackie of OKC, OK; her sisters - Sue and husband Jimmy Dickinson of Shawnee, OK; Jerrilee of Pauls Valley, OK; Mary and husband Glen Hunter of Paoli, OK. Services will be held on Thursday November 16, 2017 at 10:30 AM at the Paoli First Baptist Church in Paoli, OK officiated by Rev. Fred King and Rev. Robert Griffin with burial following at Paoli Cemetery. Services are under the direction of DeArman Funeral Home of Wynnewood, OK.
