Patsy Jean Martin

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Patsy Jean (Gilmore) Martin. Patsy passed away on April 15, 2025 at the age of 79. Born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to William Jonathan Gilmore and Lennis Faye Gilmore. Patsy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She dedicated her entire life to her family. She married the love of her life Jack Martin on May the 9th 1959. Together they raised 4 children and taught them the value of hard work, honesty and putting your family first. Pat ran the business side of Jack's tile business, if she wasn't taking care of accounts payable and receivable, paying taxes, or running payroll, she was picking up or delivering materials to job sites. She did this while maintaining a home and shuffling kids to athletic events and volunteering as team book keeper. Later she volunteered and spent countless hours working with the Stratford FFA Mothers Club and FFA chaperoned to numerous activities. FFA members recognized her as FFA Mother of the year for her efforts. She was a talented quilt and afghan maker. Her hand made afghan and quilts will be treasured keepsakes for her family. Preceded by; her parents William Jonathan . and Lennis Faye Gilmore and son; Ronald Martin. Survived by; her loving and devoted husband Jack of 65 years. her children; Gary Marin & wife Susan of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina Steve Martin & wife Lisa of Tulsa, OK. Daughter Cynthia O'Connor & husband Brian of Marietta, OK. Grandchildren; Amiee Martin of Ada, Amanda Martin of Tulsa, Kimberly Noble of Sanford, North Carolina, Kristina Hjelm of East Bend North Carolina, Justin Martin & wife Mandy of Ada, Ashley Harris of DeFuniak, Springs, Florida, Matt Martin & wife Pamala of Rogers, Arkansas. Megan Chinowth & husband Taylor of Tulsa, Devin O'Connor & wife Adrienne of Yukon, and Logan O'Connor & wife Lainey of Dallas, Texas. 13 great-grandchildren Pallbearers; Justin Martin, Matt Martin, Devin O'Connor, Logan O'Connor, Taylor Chinowth, and Brock Martin. Honorary Pallbearers; Luke Martin, Ellis Martin, Jack Savage, Shawn Mann, Santee Wade, Jacob Savage, Eathan Willingham, and Tommy Carotenuti. Visitation; will be Thursday April 17, 2025 in DeArman/Pickard Funeral Home from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Stratford, Oklahoma. Services; will be 10:00 AM Friday in DeArman/Pickard Chapel Stratford, Oklahoma. Officiating will be Joe Willingham. Interment will follow in McGee cemetery Stratford, Oklahoma.
