Madine Staggs

Madine Staggs, age 92, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, November 22, 2024. She was born on September 19, 1932, in Bromide, Oklahoma, to James and Minnie Webb, the first of five siblings. On May 22, 1954, Madine married the love of her life, Willie Earl Staggs. Together, they shared 53 wonderful years before his passing in 2007. Madine was known for her incredible cooking, crafting meals her family loved and cherished. Her home, fondly referred to as "the hill," was a gathering place of love and laughter, especially during the cherished moments spent with her great-grandson Jacob. The two shared countless adventures and playtimes together, creating memories that will be treasured forever. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Madine’s greatest joy was her family. In her later years, she enjoyed solving crossword puzzles, eagerly anticipating every new puzzle book or newspaper brought to her. Her warm heart and steadfast devotion to her loved ones left a lasting mark on everyone she met. She is survived by her daughter, Sherri Ogle of Mannsville, OK; grandson, Jeffrey Ogle of Mannsville, OK; granddaughter, Jennifer Bond, and her husband, Harry Bond; great-grandson, Jacob Bond of Mannsville, OK; brother, Ed Webb and wife Carol of Tishomingo, OK; sister, Tressa Hellabrand of Madill, OK; and numerous nieces and nephews. Madine was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Willie Earl Staggs; and her sisters, Ruby Roberts, Patsy Caraway, and Juanita Quinton. Madine will forever be missed and deeply loved by her family and all who knew her. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at Condon Grove Cemetery, officiated by Minister Roger Hartwell. Those serving as pallbearers will be Harrison Bond, Jacob Bond, Charles Ogle, Bruce Woods, Dan Childs, and Lyndall Barnes. Madine's family extends their gratitude for the love and support shared during this time of remembrance and celebration of her life.
