Kendall Lee Jones

Kendall Lee Jones, age 80, passed away peacefully on June 27, 2026. He was born on October 28, 1945, in the Pauls Valley, Oklahoma area to George Lafayette Jones and Alma Jones Kendall attended Pauls Valley High School before beginning a career that spanned many decades in the automotive and recreational vehicle industry. He started his career in Houston, Texas, in 1963, then moved on to Fort Smith, Arkansas, and numerous dealerships in Oklahoma and Texas. Throughout his career, he earned the respect of customers and coworkers alike for his knowledge and friendly personality. In 1983, Kendall made Tishomingo his home after accepting a position with Freeman Chevrolet. He quickly fell in love with the community and especially enjoyed the area's outstanding fishing opportunities. On November 23, 1994, Kendall married Denise Jones, in Grayson, Texas. Together they shared many years in the Tishomingo area. Outside of work, Kendall was happiest with a fishing pole in his hand or standing behind a grill or smoker preparing a meal for family and friends. His brisket was legendary among those fortunate enough to enjoy it. He also spent many years buying, selling, and trading fishing and hunting equipment throughout the Tishomingo area, combining his love of the outdoors with his gift for connecting with people. Kendall is survived by his devoted wife, Denise Jones, at their home; his daughter, Shelly Ramirez, and her husband, Michael Ramirez, of Purcell, Oklahoma; and his grandsons, Jacob Ramirez and Justin Ramirez, all of Purcell. He is also survived by Denise's sons, Tracy McCuan of Tishomingo, Oklahoma, and James McCuan of Kingston, Oklahoma. Tracy's children include his daughter, Kayle McCuan of Blanchard, Oklahoma, and his sons Joseph and Noah McCuan. Kayle is the mother of Kendall's cherished great-grandsons, Kayden and Alex McCuan, while Joseph is the father of Kendall's great-grandson, Josia McCuan. James McCuan's children include his daughters, Alvia McCuan Gonzales and Stewart Haggerty and his son Xavier McCuan. One Sister Ruth Triplitt of Lindsay, Oklahoma along with countless nieces and nephews. Kendall was preceded in death by his parents, George Lafayette Jones and Alma Jones, and his brothers, Kennith Jones and William Jones and Nephew Donnie Triplett, his great niece Andrea Logan and Great Nephew Kennith Marcum. One of Kendall's greatest companions was his faithful dog, Taz. The bond they shared was unmistakable, and Taz brought him comfort, companionship, and unconditional love through his last years. Whether relaxing at home or simply enjoying each other's company, Taz was always by Kendall's side. Those who knew Kendall knew just how much his beloved four-legged friend meant to him. Funeral services will be held Tuesday July 14th at 2:00 pm at Mt. Olivet Cemetery 'Pavilion on the Hill’ in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma
