Gloria Ann Pryor

Funeral Services for Mrs. Gloria Ann Pryor, 78, of Tishomingo, Oklahoma will be held on Friday, July 28, 2017 at 10:00 a. m. at the Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Kenneth McCarthick officiating. Interment will follow in the Tishomingo Cemetery. Mrs. Pryor passed away on July 24, 2017 at the Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6:00 pm until 7:30 pm at the funeral home. At her request, the casket will closed. Gloria was born on May 21, 1939 at Ft. Sumner, New Mexico to W. D. “Bill” Thomson, Jr. and Waurene (Bell) Thomson. The family later moved to Johnston County and she graduated from Tishomingo High School in 1957. That same year, she married Clayton Pryor on August 24. They moved to Oklahoma City and lived there for several years before returning to Tishomingo in 1979. Gloria worked as a Teacher’s Aide at the Tishomingo Middle School, retiring in 2000. She and Clayton also owned and operated a Dairy Farm for a few years. Gloria was also a member of the First Baptist Church in Connerville, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her parents and a great-granddaughter, Rayven. Gloria is survived by her husband Clayton, of the home; two sons, Wesley Pryor and wife Lisa of Tishomingo and Douglas Pryor and wife Gili of Durant, Oklahoma; her sister, Sherry Upton and husband Jim of Tishomingo; her brother, Steve Thomson and wife Debbie of Davis, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Cullen, Duane, Roy Clayton and Sammi Pryor; three great-grandchildren, Kolton, Kaden and Kilyn; other relatives and friends. Casket Bearers for the service will be: Duane Pryor, Cullen Pryor, Chad Upton, John Rowden, Matt Howell and Allen Fowler. Honorary Bearer: Micah Thomson.Memorials may be made in Gloria's name to the "Reaching Out" Cancer Organization at PO Box 773, Tishomingo, OK 73460.
