Dustin Gene Whitaker

Dustin Gene Whitaker, was born youngest of four children on August 28, 1992, to Gene and Mitzi Whitaker. He was a lifelong resident of Wynnewood, Oklahoma where he graduated from Wynnewood High School. He worked at McDonalds where he proudly worked his way up to management. From the beginning, life was challenging for Dustin, though most could never tell he battled a rare immune disorder, known as bull-headed by his family, he surpassed all of the doctor's odds and always left them scratching their heads. He lived life like a Russian roulette game; living it to its fullest with his best friends, JJ and Brandon in tow. He often said, "If it doesn't kill me, I'm going to die anyway" Which always prompted "the look" from his grandma. If it had crazy written on it, he was up for it. He had a deep love for his family and friends and a passion for life. He loved fishing, hanging out in the yard barbequing with family, and going down to Full House with his town family. At home you could find Dustin researching anything about science, spending most of his time with his mama. and especially enjoyed pestering and spending time with his sisters. Dustin had a strong bond with his parents and sisters from birth and was surrounded by his three girls in his final moments on April 21, 2023 and his memory will be carried on through his surviving family. He was preceded by his brother Rusty Don Whitaker, father Gene Whitaker and grandmother, June Chandler. Survived by; his mother Mitzi Whitaker of Wynnewood; 2 sisters Kristen Whitaker, of Wynnewood, OK. Lynn Garcia & husband Bobby and their children; Kayden, Taegan, Raylynn, Tripp, Truett, and Emilynn of Whitesboro, Texas. grandparents; Don & Laquieta Whitaker , grandfather; George Henry Chandler, and his Uncle Trey Chandler all of Wynnewood, OK. He was loved and will be deeply missed. A limb has fallen from the family tree, that says grieve not for me. Remember the best times, the laughter, the song, the good life I lived while I was strong.
