Funeral Services to honor and celebrate the life of Cristofor Belcher will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, July 20th, 2019 at the First Baptist Church in Milburn. Interment to follow at Condon Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 19 from 5:00 - 8:00 at DeArman-Clark Funeral Home. Cristofor was the sweetest, most tender-hearted young man and truly cared for everyone he met. Always quick with a witty joke, he could light up any room. As for hobbies, he loved movies and video games and would never hesitate to share the controller to make sure everyone had a turn—he was selfless that way. He also enjoyed practical jokes and never missed an opportunity to jump out from behind a door to scare his Nana or Aunt Tammy. His loving spirit was so contagious that even they couldn’t stay mad at him for long. Because Cristofor was diagnosed at age 17 with a genetic kidney disease and was placed on dialysis, he was unable to attend many family and community events due to his health. But he never let his health hold him back from doing the things he loved like spending quality time with his beloved nephew, Carson Hamilton, and making sure Carson knew how much his “Uncle Bubba” loved and cherished him. To speak further to his loving spirit, he never missed anyone’s birthday or Christmas. He always tried his best to get the perfect gift for each family member on their special day and the holiday season. But perhaps his favorite holiday was July 4th. His fireworks shows are the stuff of legend. Every firework stand in town knew him on a first name basis and welcomed him year after year. On July 16, 2019, at UT Southwestern Hospital in Dallas, TX, Cristofor left this life to be with Jesus. Though we miss him so terribly much, we’re comforted by the fact that he’s no longer in any pain or suffering. We also take peace in knowing he was met by the Lord and his Papa and Uncle Rodney. There’s no doubt they’re laughing and singing a chorus of “Hallelujah Square” with the heavenly angel choir. Cristofor was truly one of a kind. A gentler, more caring soul has never been. Cristofor is preceded in death by his papa, Rev. Norvel Belcher Sr. Those he leaves to cherish his memories are his mother, Tonya Belcher; sister, Marissa Hamilton and husband Christopher; nephew, Carson Hamilton; grandmother, Nancy Belcher; aunts and uncles, Teddy Norvel Jr. and wife Lisa, Tammy Lowe and husband Doug; cousins, Sarah Evans and Logan Lowe and a host of extended family members and friends who will deeply miss him.
