Coy Beatrice 'Pat' Brown

Funeral Services for Mrs. Coy B. “Pat” Brown, 82, of Milburn, Oklahoma will be held on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at 2:00 p. m. at the Christ Independent Baptist Church with Brother Earl White officiating. Interment will follow in the Condon Grove Cemetery. Mrs. Brown passed away on August 11, 2016 at her home. Pat was born on May 13, 1934 in Johnston County, Oklahoma to Leon Foster and Valeria Viola (Seaman) Foster. Her family moved away soon thereafter and later she married James Ronald Brown on October 14, 1950 in Mangum, Oklahoma. They returned to Johnston County in 1971 from Tulsa, Oklahoma. Pat received her Bachelor’s Degree in Business from Southeastern Oklahoma State University and was a member of Phi Theta Kappa. She spent most of her working life as a commercial truck driver. She was also a member of the Milburn Baptist Church. Pat was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Ronda Fay Duke; siblings, Dorthy Ethridge, Marvin Foster and Leon Foster and a great-grandson, Garrett Brooks. She is survived by her husband, James Ronald Brown of the home; two daughters, Clara Mae Parsons of Tishomingo and Valeria Beatrice Schultz of Milburn; her sister, Hallie Mae Kitchens and husband Claude of New Mexico; two sisters-in-law, Patty Jean Foster of Milburn and Oma Francis Parrish of San Diego, CA; grandchildren, James W. Brown and Anita of Moore, OK, Ronnie Moore and Shawna of Marietta, OK, Cristy Mays and Joe of Mannsville, OK, Robert Martinez and Kim of Milburn, Trisha Schultz of Tishomingo, Amy Duke and Chuck of Durant, Jamie Duke and Mandy of Ft. Riley, KS, Angella Brooks and Kenneth of Tishomingo, Randy Parsons and Heather of Norman and Sean Pratt of Tishomingo; numerous great and great-grandchildren, brother-in-law, Chester Brown and Sally of Rush Springs, brother-in-law, Donny Ray Brown and Regina of Rush Springs; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Pallbearers for the service will be: James W. Brown, Ronnie Moore, Robert Martinez, James R. Duke, Randy Parsons and Sean Pratt. Honorary Bearers will be great-grandsons.
