Chris S Bolles

Chris passed away peacefully in his home on March 30th, 2024, aged 73, with his family lovingly by his side. Born December 26th, 1950 to Kenneth “Pete” Bolles and Jewell “Judy” Schrader Bolles in Freer, Texas. Chris grew up with his three siblings, Barry, Radonna and Darla in the Ratliff City area where he attended Fox Schools. He was involved in most sports at some point, but excelled in football, where he was voted all District halfback his senior year. He was also involved with FFA, student council, track, Boy’s State and much more. After graduating from Fox in 1969, Chris attended Murray State College, then went on to study at Oklahoma State University(Go Pokes!) After graduating from OSU with a degree in Agronomy, he began working for the Farmer’s Home Administration, before taking a job at First National Bank of Frederick, kickstarting a 44+ year career in the banking industry. In 1973 Chris met the love of his life, Yevon, in Stillwater. To hear Chris tell it, it was love at first sight. They were married on July 28th, 1973 and spent the next 50+ years together. They went on to have two children, Christy Lynn in 1977, and Matthew Adam in 1981.. The four of them spent the next several years on countless adventures, most of which were on horseback. They spent most of their time doing what they loved together, cowboying. From roping to team penning, herding and sorting, and working cattle, Chris was his happiest, and most at home, on the back of a good horse. He was the definition of a true cowboy. Hard-working, honest, trust-worthy, loyal. He also loved chasing Christy and Matt to all of their activities, but most of all, he loved watching them play basketball. Chris would always stand by himself at games so he could give his undivided attention to the game and an “Atta kid!” as they ran by. In 2017, Chris retired from the banking industry after helping countless families. He spent his retirement doing the things he loved. Riding, tending cattle, chasing his grandkids and doting on Yevon. He loved his family immensely. Everyone that knew Chris knew that he was a good man and his word was as good as gold. Chris was predeceased by his parents, Pete and Judy Bolles. He is survived by his wife, Yevon Bolles, daughter Christy and husband David Morris, son Matt and wife Crystal Bolles, four grandsons, Logan and Wyatt Morris, and Kayden and Jensen Bolles, and one granddaughter, Bostyn Bolles. Visitation; will be Thursday April 4, 2024 in DeArman/Pickard Funeral chapel from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Services; will be 10:00 AM Friday April 5, 2024 in DeArman/Pickard Chapel Stratford, Oklahoma. Officiating; Thomas Andrews. Burial will follow in Corley cemetery south of Stratford. Pallbearers; Matt Bolles, David Morris, Logan Morris, Wyatt Morris, Allen Bolles, Dillon Mumford, and Chad Butler. Honorary Pallbearers; Jensen Bolles and Chance Butler.
