Chance Lee Tyson

It is with great sorrow that the Tyson family announces the passing of Chance Lee Tyson, of Decatur, Arkansas. He was born on March 14, 1992, and passed much too soon at the age of 33 on December 16, 2025, in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his father, Bradley R. Tyson; one brother, Bradley R. Tyson Jr.; his uncles, Chris Tyson and Scotty Tyson; his grandfather, Leroy Tyson; his maternal grandmother, Barbara Dowdle; and his grandfather, Bobbie Trice. He is survived by his loving soulmate, Shanna Nichole Tyson; three sons, Treyden R. Tyson, Tony I. Tyson, and Landyn C. Tyson; his mother, Jannie L. Mann; two brothers, Bryson R. Tyson, and Jessie R. Tyson; four sisters, Candice M. Tyson, Mary Tyson, Misty Miller and husband Brennan Miller and Kalyn Tyson; An abundance of nieces, nephews; and cousins. grandmother Linda Trice, Uncles Stacy Tyson and Richard Campbell and Aunt Patrika Tyson. Chance will be remembered fondly for his fun-loving spirit and never missed an opportunity for a well-placed prank or a bit of good natured teasing. His bold sarcasm was legendary but beneath the witty barbs was a heart of gold. He had a unique way of making sure everyone knew they were loved, through every day simple acts of kindness. He turned ordinary moments into unforgettable memories, and his infectious laughter could fill any room. He approached life with a sense of humor and a mischievous glint in his eye, reminding us all to not take things too seriously. He was a loving and devoted soulmate, father, son, brother and uncle. He had a free spirit, a gift for playing pranks on friends and family, and deep compassion for all those he considered family. He came from a family of twelve and enjoyed spending time with them. He taught us all the importance of laughter, the power of connection, and the value of letting the people in your life know how much they mean to you. Chance struggled with addiction for ten years and was baptized while going through the CAAIR Program (https://caair.org/) in Jay, Oklahoma. He strongly believed that if he could turn his life around, anyone could. “We will carry you with us in our hearts forever and always.” Viewing will be held at DeArman Funeral Home in Sulphur, Oklahoma, on Sunday, December 21, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. A Celebration of Chance’s Life will be held on Monday, December 22, 2025, 2:00pm at Mill Creek Pentecostal Church, located in Mill Creek, Oklahoma.
