Berna Dean Alexander Ruggles

Berna Dean Ruggles was born March 8, 1937 in Wynnewood, Oklahoma to Buck and Jerline (Ginn) Alexander. She passed away in North Richland Hills, Texas at the age of 86 years 1 month and 22 days. She married Dale M. Ruggles on February 9, 1955. She was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist Faith. Outside of ministering with Dale, Berna Dean loved working and helping others during her lifetime. She worked as an administrative assistant in an Underground Missile Defense facility in Jacksonville, Arkansas and at the Colony a children's home for special needs children in Conway, Arkansas. She also worked for a USA Air Force Base in Jacksonville, Arkansas. Berna Dean loved her years working in the jewelry department at JC Penny and served as a cosmetic specialist for Merle Norman. She spent much time and love earning her PHTC degree which is the putting husband through college degree! She served with Dale in numerous churches and was always there to lend a helping hand. In her later years while living on the farm, she loved driving the equipment over their acreage. She would help feed their livestock and wildlife, and has been known to mend fences and help bale hay. Berna Dean most of all loved her Lord and Savior. She was a prayer warrior and dedicated her life to her Lord, her family, and husband. She is now at rest. She now can see the face of Jesus Christ, and she can see God on His throne and we thank God for allowing us to know her. Berna Dean Joins in her heavenly home her parents Buck and Jerline Alexander, brother Kenneth Alexander, sister Dathel Charlene Alexander, son David Ruggles and granddaughter Brittany Leigh Parrish. Survived by; her husband Dale Ruggles of 68 years of North Richland Hills, Texas. Son- Kenny Ruggles & wife Kim of Greenville, AL. Daughter- Datha Parrish & husband Donny of Vilonia, AR. Son- Dwight Dean Ruggles & wife Debbie of North Richland Hills, TX. Granddaughter- Samantha Parrish Khan & husband Tariq of New York City, NY. Visitation; will be 4 - 7 Wednesday May 10, 2023 in DeArman Funeral Home Wynnewood, Oklahoma. Services; 11:00 AM Thursday May 11, 2023 in Hillcrest Baptist Church Wynnewood, Oklahoma. Officiating; Rev. Dale M. Ruggles Assisted by; Donny Parrish, Leanne Jones and Samantha Parrish-Khan. Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet cemetery in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma.
