Funeral Services for Aubrey Gene Perkins, 80, of Milburn, Oklahoma will be held on Monday, November 13, 2017 at 2:00 p. m. in the Herb Clark Memorial Chapel in Tishomingo, Oklahoma with Brother Alvie, Jr. "Skip" Perkins officiating, assisted by Brother Randy Cole. Interment will follow in the Bold Springs Cemetery. Mr. Perkins passed away on November 8, 2017 at his home. Gene was born on December 25, 1936 in Milburn, Oklahoma to Arthur Franklin Perkins and Selma (Palmer) Perkins. He graduated from Milburn High School and later met and married Mickie McDonald on August 14, 1960 in Durant, Oklahoma. He retired from the Cargill Flour Company after 40 years of service. After retirement, Gene was a rancher and enjoyed hunting in his spare time. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Shane in 2005 and three brothers, Alvie, Melvin and Arnold. Gene is survived by his wife Mickie of the home; his son, Gene Perkins, Jr. of the home; three sisters, Clarice LaFevers and Marilyn Whittington of Milburn and Carolyn Paris of Kenefic, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Danielle, Kyle, Shana, and Audrey; three great-grandchildren, Harley, Case and Curt and other relatives and friends. Casket Bearers for the service will be: Gene Perkins, Jr., Skip Perkins, Michael Alexander, Mike Thompson, Paul Holcomb and Wade Whittington. Honorary Bearers will be: Cecil Fillmore, and Fausto Hernandez.
